The Portland Quarter Midget Racing Association (PQMRA) is a volunteer based, competitive sport for children ages 5 to 17. Races take place on various track surfaces throughout the U.S. and Canada year round. The driver's entire family is involved as crew chief, mechanic, and support of race day activities.
As the "little brother" to NASCAR's Bristol track, PQMRA has resided at Alpenrose Dairy in Portland, Oregon for more than 55 years. Families with and without racing backgrounds have watched their drivers achieve results they may not have thought possible when first starting, including region and national championships.
No other sport enables parents to coach, mentor and work as a team with their child like quarter midgets. This is a sport you have to see to believe is done by kids!
